Favourite foundation?

One of a girl’s hardest decision in life…

What foundation do you wear? Well here’s the blog post to answer this question finally…

It’s no secret I own a lot of make up and with that I also own a lot of foundations. I’ve gone through so many but only a few are actually my everyday go to. I have listed my Top 5 rating each out of a score of 10 accompanied by my reasons why.

  1. Tom ford – traceless foundation 6/10

The coverage is great and is medium to full coverage. It applies very well and blends well however, the only problem I have with this foundation is how it feels on your face after a few hours. I find it ironic that its called Ironically traceless as you just feel like you’re dripping in heavy make up after hours which isn’t comfortable or ideal. But it is great for mixing with other foundations to get the right colour.

  1. MAC – studio fix fluid 7.5/10

So after years I finally went back to MAC studio fix as they hadn’t got my colour right for years. NC45 seemed to be the staple shade for brown skin girls but I had used the colour as my concealer so as a foundation would be way too light, but MAC finally got it together and released in between colours. I use NC47 which is a great match to my skin tone and I’ve fallen in love with it all over again. The only down fall about this foundation is the oxidisation that comes with it after a few hours.

  1. Estee Lauder – double wear 8.5/10

I just love this foundation, it’s been in my make up bag for a while now and I don’t plan on changing it anytime soon, the coverage is amazing and the colour match to my skin is also pretty dope. The only thing is, it’s not the lightest of formulas so the consistency is quite thick compared to others.

  1. Giorgio Armani – Luminous Silk 9/10

This may be one of the most talked about foundation of all time but it really didn’t disappoint. Everything about it is just amazing, the formula is light, it applies very well and the coverage is just as great. A little really does go along way, I really don’t see myself ever not using this foundation. HEAVEN SENT!

  1. Charlotte Tilbury – Magic foundation 9.5/10

Now this may be a surprise to some of you but for me this foundation ticks all the boxes for me. The shade matches beautiful to my skin tone, it applies well, it has great medium to full coverage and it doesn’t oxidise. What I find with this foundation is that it acts like a concealer and a foundation at the same time. It not only covers any blemishes I may have but also gives me a real photo finish airbrush looked. I LOVE IT!
